Trikala holds the Second INSMART Workshop to discuss the MCDA output
The second workshop of INSMART was held in Trikala on 30th June 2016. The purpose of the workshop was to discuss the first outputs of the scenario analysis for the future energy consumption of the city (results of the City TIMES Energy System Model).
The second purpose was to present and discuss the outcomes of the Multi Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) Method (PROMETHEE) which was applied using the scenario results and the criteria and weights that were decided by the city stakeholders.
The participants came mainly from the Municipality Technical Services, since they have a more technical view of how the energy system of the city can develop. The outcomes of the MCDA were close to the consensus of the stakeholders, promoting the scenarios that were already considered as important by them. The feedback received during the workshop will be used to elaborate on the scenarios and their results and produce the final set of outputs with concrete proposals for the sustainable future of the city energy system.
