The InSmart Solution presented to the Eurocities Environment forum

On March 16 the Municipality of Cesena has attended to the Eurocities Environment Forum – Energy transition in cities in Antwerp (Belgium) to present the INSMART Solution as an innovative smart cities best practice.

Eurocities is a network of more than 100 European cities active in the promotion of sustainable policies to build an active network of municipalities for the exchange of good practices and the creation of synergies.

In particular, this edition of the Environment Forum was dedicated to the definition and implementation of the Action Plans for Sustainable Energy (SEAP) in European cities. During the forum best practices, tools, models of governance for sustainable planning were exchanged. For INSMART project was a great occasion to disseminate the MCDA method and the results and to network with others cities in Europe that work on these issues.

The Municipality of Cesena has coordinated a specific round table proposing the innovative approach of the INSMART project and in particular the Multi criteria approach and methodology for the stakeholder engagement within the sustainable planning processes in urban context. Cesena also presented the main output of the INSMART project, in particular the medium and long term action plan which defines a set of sustainability scenarios for 2020 and 2030 for the city of Cesena.
